Antoine Dodson is Sex Offender App Spokesperson, For Real

You remember Antoine Dodson, right? Guy who was interviewed in a Huntsville, Alabama news report and promptly caused the footage to go viral, thanks to his extreme awesomeness? Star of the popular and freakishly catchy Gregory Brothers-created auto-tuned version of his rant against sexual intruders, which sold over 91,000 downloads on iTunes and reached No.3 on the R&B chart?

Well, Antoine's making the most of his fifteen minutes. You can now find Dodson's signature 'fro, red bandana, and black tank top on a brand new video, extolling the virtues of the—wait for it—Sex Offender Tracker App.

It looks like an SNL skit, but this is for REAL. The Sex Offender Tracker App uses augmented reality (as Dodson says in the video, "It's a tek-NOLOGY!") to provide the location of nearby registered sex offenders. The user opens the app, points their phone down a street, and nearby sex offenders are represented by red dots, which can provide additional information about the offender.

The app is available for iPhone and Android, and costs $1.99. 5% of all proceeds from the Sex Offender Tracker App will be donated to RAINN, the nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization.

Of course, this is only for registered sex offenders, and it doesn't exactly address the issue of whether or not said sex offender has been rehabilitated, but anyway, according to Dodson, now you can use this app instead of hiding yo kids and yo wives and yo husbands.

I don't know how I feel about the product overall (seems like a great way to get really, really paranoid) but I can't get enough of Antoine's commercial. Please enjoy this fantastic promotional video:

What do you think Antoine should do next? Me, I'm thinking he should replace Chris Hansen on 'To Catch a Predator'.

"You're naked, there's a 14 year old girl, you're chasing a cat around and you've got Cool Whip and you want this girl to do some sex act with the cat and then you'll have sex with her. Is that accurate? You are so dumb. You are really dumb, for real. Run and tell that, homeboy!"
