Van der Sloot Movie: Levi Johnston Should Play the Lead

van der sloot movieAs bad guy extraordinaire Joran van der Sloot sits in jail waiting for his murder trial to begin, Dutch crews are taking over the island of Aruba filming a movie about the murder of Natalee Holloway.

The movie, Me & Mr. Jones, is being made by Dutch director and filmmaker Paul Ruven. It tells the fictional story of an undercover journalist who breaks into van der Sloot's residence and discovers a breakthrough in the Holloway case. It stars actors most of us have never heard of, Robert de Hoog and Hanna Verboom, both pictured at left.

Van der Sloot, the tall and unfortunately handsome 22-year-old suspected of murdering Natalee, and who pretty certainly murdered his most recent victim, Stephany Flores, is a Dutchman.

There's been very little publicity about the film, because the American teen's disappearance was and still is so sensitive in Aruba, so up to now there's been very little detail and info about the production. Dutch actress Verboom will likely play the Natalee role, but who will play van der Sloot?

De Hoog, who's also Dutch, is said to play the lead role, but it's unclear whether that's the role of journalist or accused murderer. He looks pretty dweeby, nothing like Mr. Button Down Polo Shirt van der Sloot. Here's a YouTube spot showing him in some strange casting video.

I would have thought a much younger version of Matt Damon or even Levi Johnston or someone with more of a prep school, clean-cut look. I bet Johnston would jump at the chance for that role. Please note the comparison below, especially the strong jawline and the eyebrows.

Whatcha think? Am I right or am I right?

The movie was in production before Stephany Flores was allegedly murdered by van der Sloot in his hotel room in May, and is scheduled to be released in 2011, but we might have to wait till it hits the subtitled DVD version to see it.

Who should play the part of Joran van der Sloot in the next movie?
