If you didn't get a Build-A-Bear for next to nothing, all may not be lost! After the chaos that emerged from the company's failed "Pay Your Age Day" event, Chuck E. Cheese's is stepping in with their own way to make the day magical, offering for today. And TBH, it's pretty brilliant!

  • The children's restaurant posted a message about the promotion on their Facebook page, encouraging families to come in and pay their children's age.

The promotion comes after a disastrous Pay Your Age Day sale at Build-A-Bear, where parents were eventually turned away due to overcrowded lines and concerns over customer safety. The company has since apologized and offered $15 vouchers to Bonus Club members only, but the incident has left a bad taste in many of their customers' mouths.

But today Chuck E. Cheese's came through with a brilliant marketing strategy to get parents in the door using the exact same deal!

  • As part of the promotion, kids "will get 30 minutes of All You Can Play."

On the Facebook post, the chain clarified that the promotion on runs on July 13, only and said that maximum price will be $9 for 30 minutes.

  • And there are some limitations to the deal: only some locations offer the promotion.

The restaurant chain has no official index of all All You Can Play pass locations, but you can search by location on their website to see if the offer is at the Chuck E. Cheese's closest to you.

  • And parents of older kids beware, one mom made the valid point that Pay Your Age might not be the best deal if your kids are older than 10.

The company responded to this mom's concern telling her that "if your child is 1-9 then your child pays their age with no additional purchase needed. If your child is 10 years or older, it's $10 for 30 minutes or $9 with the purchase of a value meal."

So if you're really looking for a bargain, keep this in mind for older kids.

  • But we have to say, all in all, this is pretty cool of Charles Entertainment Cheese!
