For some siblings, it doesn't matter how much they fight; when push comes to shove, they will always be there for each other. One little boy proved this protective spirit from a young age when he thought his older sister was in distress and, despite his size, went running to defend her. What this little guy didn't understand was that his big sister was just competing in a school wrestling match. But none of that mattered to this kiddo when he thought his sibling needed some backup.

The heartwarming and hysterical viral video was captured at an elementary school in Indiana. When 5-year-old Ruby began facing off against her opponent of the same age, her toddler brother misunderstood what was happening. The 2-year-old came charging out of the crowd and pounced on the boy wrestling Ruby. A referee swooped in and thwarted his heroic efforts, but we give him credit for his valiant attempt.

"When the girl you're wrestling has a tough little brother, don't mess with his sister..." Tori Prendergast shared on Facebook with the epic clip. "You won't regret watching this video, promise."

Prendergast told the Huffington Post that she missed the match between her son and Ruby and later watched what her husband filmed. But when she saw the hysterical interruption, she knew that she had to share it. “It was so cute. The whole place was cracking up when it happened," she said. "I only have boys, but if I had a daughter, I hope they would protect their sister like that."
