When Alyssa Hacker was shopping at Target with her toddler, this mom from Oklahoma ended up in tears. But Alyssa wasn't sobbing in the middle of the beloved store because Owen had an unusually bad meltdown or because she was upset over devastating news -- it was because of what a complete stranger said to her son in the middle of an aisle.

Alyssa explained in a viral post on Facebook that while they were waiting on Owen's "Grammi" to finish her shopping, she and her toddler found some dinosaurs in the toy aisle and he instantly fell in love with them.

"Owen grabbed all three and we were trying to pick out which one he wanted when Owen abruptly yelled 'HI' at this older man walking past us," she wrote. "He turned around and said, 'Hey sweet boy,' and he proceeded to play dinosaurs with Owen."

Although she admits that in this "crazy world" we currently live in she was initially hesitant at how close the man got to Owen, what he did next left her speechless. "The man got his wallet out and pulled $20 out, he put it in Owen's pocket on his shirt, and said, 'I just lost my 2-year-old grandson last week. You take this money and buy this boy all three dinosaurs,' and rubbed Owen's back, wiped his tears and walked off," Alyssa wrote.

Since Alyssa posted her story on Facebook, it's been shared an incredible 125,000 times by people who cannot get enough of this grandfather's generosity or the heartbreaking fact that he just lost a grandchild.

This grieving grandfather taught Alyssa not only to cherish the simple moments with her toddler but also that there is still some good in this world, and she couldn't be more grateful for his important lesson.
