In honor of International Literacy Day, everyone's pretend boyfriend, Idris Elba, has teamed up with Project Literacy for a reading of The Little Chicken Named Pong-Pong by Wanda Steward. "Get cozy," Elba says. Well, if you insist.

  • You should probably watch with your child. You know, for the bonding time.

The Little Chicken Named Pong-Pong is Steward's own spin on the kids' classic Chicken Little.

  • Usually we can't wait for bedtime stories to be over, but we could listen to this one again and again.

Oh, you want to watch it again, sweetie? Mommy thinks that's a great idea.

  • The book is free, and comes complete with a foreword written by Elba himself (because he's hunky and smart).

Learning company Pearson will donate $1 for every copy of the book downloaded to partners of Project Literacy to help illiterate adults learn to read and write. You can download the book here

  • Sweet dreams.

Thanks for the story, Idris. We might not be sleepy, but we are definitely ready for bed.
