Super Chill Baby Gives Parents a 'Thumbs Up' in Ultrasound Picture (PHOTO)

ultrasound thumbs upCatching a glimpse of your baby on an ultrasound is always exciting, but one couple in Canada recently had a more exciting sonogram than most: 26-year-old mom Nicole Kim couldn't believe her eyes when she went in for an ultrasound and her unborn son appeared on the screen giving a big, unmistakable thumbs-up!

It's the sort of sweet encouragement any mom-to-be can use, but the positive vibes were especially appreciated by Kim; as she explained to, her husband was recently laid off from his job in the oil industry (the couple already has two sons, ages 3 and 5).

"For me, it just made it seem like everything was going to be okay," she said. "Living in Calgary, there's a lot of people being laid off right now, and it's hard for our families. We know two other families dealing with it. I think the reason this went viral was because people wanted something to be happy about."

And because it's adorable -- check out Kim's Facebook post!

Awww. There's nothing scarier than feeling like you don't know how you're going to provide for your (growing) family, and pregnancy is already a stressful enough time as it is. Coincidence or not, I'm so glad this laid-back little baby is giving his parents a sign to stay positive. His brothers got the message, too -- Kim says her big boys thought the pic was "really cool" and can't wait to meet their new little brother:

"One of my sons likes to come and kiss my belly and hug it," she said. "They're so adorable with babies, so they're excited."

 Now THAT deserves a thumbs-up!
