Parents of 13-Year-Old YouTube Star Caleb Bratayley Livestream Memorial on Facebook for All to See (VIDEO)

Family and fans are still mourning the untimely death of Caleb Bratayley. The 13-year-old was a member of the infamous Bratayley Family on YouTube and passed away last week, shocking all who knew and loved him. In efforts to celebrate their son, Caleb's parents decided to livestream his memorial service on Facebook for all to see.

In case you're wondering, Caleb Bratayley apparently died from an undetected medical condition (his parents thought his passing was due to natural causes).

The thought of streaming a teen's funeral on the Internet might sound a bit odd to some, but probably not to viewers of the Bratayley Family's YouTube channel. With 1.7 million subscribers and over one billion page views (that's some serious numbers there), parents Katie and Billy wanted to give their family's fans the opportunity to grieve with them -- likely as if they were there.

With over 308,000 views in less than 24 hours, I think it's safe to say that fans were thankful for the opportunity to attend.

Honestly, I've heard of funerals being streamed for others to virtually attend. Sometimes loved ones aren't in the same state -- or country for that matter -- and want to have a chance to pay their respects. Given their online celebrity, the Bratayleys maybe kept the actual funeral for close friends and family, but wanted something as a thank-you for fans who showed Caleb so much love over the years (the Bratayleys have been documenting their adventures on YouTube since 2010).

No matter how you feel, the most important thing is to remember a family lost a child and offer your condolences.
