Ashlee Buratti invited her son's entire class to his birthday party -- 16 kids from his elementary school in St. Cloud, Florida. Glenn, who is autistic, was turning 6 and it was time to celebrate. No one showed up. Glenn was devastated, but what happened next is going to bring happy tears to your eyes.

Mom Ashlee vented about no one coming to her son's party on a private Facebook group. Word got around in her community and families started stopping by with gifts and happy birthday wishes for Glenn. Complete strangers. Glenn was so happy to meet new friends and then the Osceola County Sheriff's Office got involved. They sent a helicopter to fly over Glenn's house as a birthday hello. What 6-year-old old doesn't love helicopters! How cool. And then, the local fire department along with more police came with firetrucks for Glenn to sit in, police dogs for him to pet, and squad cars to check out. They even pooled their money for some gifts for Glenn.

Glenn became the happiest kid in the world! And his mom was so touched and thankful for the outpouring of support and love from her community and beyond. She said that she is getting birthday wishes and notes from people all over the world.

More From The Stir: Mom Uses Facebook to Help Son With No Friends Have a Happy Birthday

Now we don't know why not one kid from Glenn's class showed up to his birthday party -- Ashlee said she doesn't know either. But we won't focus on that. Let's look at the good, the amazing that came out of this. Glenn probably had one of those birthdays that he will recall for the rest of his life. Plus, people rallied together to show they care. Fighting back tears, Ashlee shared how grateful she is -- and I'm in tears with her. My twins just turned 5 and we had a big party. If no one showed, I cannot even imagine how upset my kids would have been. As a parent, seeing your child hurt like that is painful. It's truly wonderful that this story had such a happy ending.

Happy birthday, Glenn!

Has your child ever been let down by his friends?
