Moms Give Birth in a Shack in the Middle of Nowhere in New Reality Show (VIDEO)

Lifetime 'Born in the Wild

They're heeeere: Lifetime has released its first trailer of their controversial series Born in the Wild, which documents the experiences of women who pop out babies in the woods. The show, which is in its second season, premieres March 3, but this sneak peek gives you a good idea of what's in store: blood and gore galore!

As you might guess, the trailer kept us on the edge of our seats about whether the babies and moms would get through this ordeal alive, although by the end it appears the babies are OK. Still, though, we've gotta assume that even though these moms were miles from a hospital, backup measures were in place in case a mom did need medical help ... for liability's sake.

But what about all the moms who, as a result of watching this trailer or the show itself decide to traipse into the woods and give birth on a pile of leaves themselves? Will they know all the safety precautions to take? Our guess is probably not. Which makes us wonder: is this show essentially encouraging other moms to do something that could put their babies in harms' way?

There's a fine line between documenting vs. encouraging this wild birthing practice, and we fear this show may cross over that line. But take a look at the video and see what you think yourself:

Do you think this show encourages women to take risks with their baby?
