Wife Gives Birth as Husband Recovers From Heart Attack in Same Hospital (VIDEO)

tiny footPatrick and Brandi Arnold were just like any new parents-to-be living with the anticipation of their new son arriving any day, when the unthinkable happened. Brandi simply went to take a hot, relaxing bath, when she heard strange noises coming from the living room. She got out of the tub, and as it turns out, her husband Patrick was having a major heart attack.

She called 911 and when the EMTs arrived, they discovered that he was in full cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the hospital, where he ultimately had two stents put in his artery to restore the blood flow to his heart.

After a couple of long, tiring days in the hospital with Patrick, Brandi finally went home to get some rest -- and of course, her water broke that night and she went into labor.

Baby Judson Arnold was born 13 hours later, in the very same hospital as his father -- just one floor below the cardiac unit.

And the very next day, Patrick finally started regaining consciousness, and Brandi was finally able to introduce him to the baby boy she wasn't sure he'd ever get to meet.

Take a look at this video clip to hear their emotional story.

Aww! Even though Patrick was unconscious after his heart attack, somehow knowing he had that beautiful baby on the way had to have given him the strength to pull through and fight for his life.

I can't even imagine how surreal and amazing that moment must have been for both he and Brandi when he finally held his baby boy in his arms -- especially for Brandi, who had to go through the birth of their child without knowing if she'd wind up having to raise him on her own.

I'm sure they'll never take one day with their son for granted, and their story is such a great reminder to all of us not to sweat the small stuff in life, because you never know when it can be taken away.

Sigh. Don't you just love stories that have a happy ending?

Do you think this baby probably saved his dad's life?
