Toddler Survives After Her Stroller Is Dragged by Semi Truck (VIDEO)

raelynThis story sounds horrible, but it could have been so much worse. Harleagh McNaught was pushing her 2-year-old daughter Raelyn in a stroller through their Arizona town. They came to a crosswalk where a semi truck hauling rock was about to make a left turn. Harleah saw the truck, but thought it was going to stop. It did not.

Harleagh tried to pull the stroller back but she was too late -- the semi caught the stroller and wrenched it out of Harleah's hands. Raelyn was still strapped in it! From Harleagh's perspective it seemed like the stroller had been dragged under the truck. But as you'll see in the video below, Raelyn is alive and well. Here's what really happened.

Harleah says, "I was so scared that she was going to roll right underneath the tires of that truck and I was never going to see my daughter again." But the stroller had just been clipped and tossed onto the street. Harleah found her daughter still inside the stroller, which was lying on its side. She was bleeding from a gash in her forehead and burns on her elbows, but she was now safe and alive. Harleah believes the plastic and metal around the stroller saved her daughter's life.

GAH! What a close call. Good thing Raelyn was strapped in. I don't even want to think what would have happened to that little girl if she had flown out, or if she really had been pulled underneath the truck! I'm sure Harleah will never be able to look at her daughter again without feeling incredibly grateful that she's still alive.

Have you ever had a traffic close call with your child?
