Kids Pose With Santa & Machine Guns for Christmas Cards (VIDEO)

santa gunsAll I want for Christmas is an AR-15 with an attached grenade launcher ... huh? Wait a sec, that's not how the song goes! Or is it? I guess once the whole sitting on Santa's lap thing involves rifle-toting toddlers, all bets are off. Yup, you read that right. At Scottsdale Gun Club in Arizona, kids (and adults) can get their pictures snapped with Santa and an automatic weapon of their choice -- or several automatic weapons of their choice.

So much for a Silent Night.

Sound crazy? Nah, the club only lets people pose with unloaded guns! See, it's really no different than letting your kid hold a candy cane. A big, potentially lethal candy cane.

Hey, Santa! Why so jumpy?

Apparently Scottsdale Gun Club didn't intend for kids to be the target audience (HA!) of "Santa and Machine Guns." It was supposed to be for grown-up gun enthusiasts, but a lot of parents loved the idea of taking family shots (HA!) with Santa for Christmas cards and Facebook posts.

Hence the gallery of pint-sized, pistol-packin' tots. The children were nestled all snug in their beds/as visions of say hello to my little friend, blam blam blam!!!

Personally, as a parent, I think I'd be too afraid of Child Protective Services coming after me to post pictures of my children holding semi-automatic weapons on Facebook, but you know, different strokes for different folks. Or something.

I should add that not all Arizona residents approve of the St. Nick & Shotguns combo. Says Democratic State Rep. Steve Farley:

To involve machine guns and Santa in a celebration in the birth of Jesus Christ is the worst kind of heresy I can imagine. I would suggest that the people who created this read some of the New Testament.

Well, one thing's for sure -- pointing a gun at Santa's head is a surefire (HA!) way to make sure you don't end up on the naughty list ...

Would you let your kids pose for pics with Santa and Machine Guns?
