Dora Backpack Packs Mobile Meth Lab

Dora Meth LabIt's one thing to manufacture methamphetamine, but it's a whole new low to create a mobile meth lab in your toddler's backpack.

Unfortunatley, that's just what Cecil Doyle Martin, 33, and Melissa Dawn Martin, 26, did. The married couple was stopped by police Tuesday evening in Broken Arrow, Okla., becuase of a broken brake light and missing operating tag.

The officers smelled meth and marijuana and found them and an entire mobile lab -- right there in a backpack belonging to the couple's 2-year-old daughter.

The 2-year-old and her 1-year-old sibling were in the car at the time as well.

To make matters even worse -- if that's possible -- it was a Dora the Explorer backpack, which is just wrong no matter how much you may hate the perky little adventurer.

This story is so horrifying in so many ways. From the children being exposed to drug smoke in the car to the potential for them to have gotten into the dangerous materials because they were in a child-friendly tote.

And I can't help but think of a little girl in love with Dora and her magic backpack whose own backpack is so very sad.

The children have been referred to the Department of Children Services, and the parents are in jail. I can only hope the entire family gets the help they so obviously need ... and that the little girl gets a brand new backpack.
