There's been a lot of buzz about the Hocus Pocus sequel that's coming to Disney+, and more than ever, many (like us) have been curious as to whether the Sanderson sisters will reprise their roles -- and how, considering what went down in Hocus Pocus. In a new interview, Bette Midler opened up about Hocus Pocus 2, and it sounds like she's totally on board -- and so are costars Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker.

  • Bette Midler really wants to join the 'Hocus Pocus' sequel and thinks it will be "fabulous."

... Not that we doubt her, especially if the original cast ends up returning.

"I hope they hire me because I want to fly again in the worst way,” Bette told Us Weekly. "I never thought that I would have that kind of status as a character -- and it’s just shocking to me, I’m just so thrilled. I have a couple of great characters, I have The Rose and I have Winnie.”

Bette probably doesn't have to worry about missing out on flying again. If they're bringing anyone back, it's gotta be Winifred Sanderson.

  • It seems like there's a very good chance the Sanderson sisters will be back, though -- especially after this Instagram comment from SJP.

This response Sarah Jessica Parker -- who played Sarah Sanderson in Hocus Pocus -- gave to a fan who asked her about the sequel on Instagram really says it all.

Now we wait, indeed ... although it seems like fans are certainly getting impatient! After all, It has been well over two decades since the original movie hit theaters.

  • The cast has been teasing a reboot for a while now.

In early October, Vinessa Shaw, who played Allison, shared this pic on Instagram of her and other Hocus Pocus stars gathered around a crystal ball, predicting the sequel that we now know is officially happening.

Looks like the cast knows more about all of this than they're letting on so far!

  • Whatever's going on, we hope for more 'Hocus Pocus 2' news ASAP.

Would it be too much to hope for the sequel to hit Disney+ in time for next Halloween? Absolutely not. Our fingers are crossed!

And until then, we'll just keep watching the original movie. TBH, it never gets old.
