It's been almost 80 years since The Wizard of Oz first hit theaters, and now, it's time to celebrate the star of the movie -- Judy Garland, of course -- with a film about her life. The trailer for Judy starring Renee Zellweger in the title role is finally here, and the movie looks so good.

  • Set to Renee's version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, the trailer starts off with a young Judy on the set of The Wizard of Oz.

The trailer goes back in forth in time, between Judy's younger days (when she's played by Darci Shaw) and when she's older (when Renee takes over).

  • There are clips of Judy's successful career and of times when things were going well for her.

The happier moments of Judy's life are all there -- such as falling in love, spending time with her children, and performing.

But fans know that there was a lot more to Judy's life than that, especially in her older years.

  • And then, there are the tragic moments, such as a volatile fight with one of her husbands.

It's heartbreaking to see these moments and remember everything that Judy experienced. Even from this trailer, it looks as if Renee is about to act her butt off to bring the difficult scenes to life.

  • There's even a clip of Judy walking as pill bottles fall to her feet, alluding to the 1969 overdose that led to her death.

As the New York Times reported at the time, Judy was found dead in her London hotel bathroom by her fifth husband, Mickey Deans, after overdosing on barbiturates shortly after she turned 47.

  • Fans are already so excited to see Renee taking on the role of Judy.

The reaction to this trailer so far has been incredibly positive, especially because Renee does look so much like the legendary actress when she was older. We can't wait to see her in action when the movie comes out in its entirety, because her rendition of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" totally blew us away.

Judy hits theaters September 27, so get those countdowns ready. We have a feeling this could score Renee another Oscar Award!
