Live action revivals of our favorite animated classics are all the rage these days. Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast were box offices smashes, and studios are hopeful that this summer's Aladdin and The Lion King will be as well.

We can't speak to Aladdin right now, but after watching the new trailer Disney just released for The Lion King, we're pretty blown away by what they were able to do. Of course it's not really live action, as they didn't film with real animals, but the CGI animation is so incredible it looks like they filmed actual lions.

Entertainment Tonight has the full preview, which offered the first glimpse of Timon and Pumbaa, voiced by Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen. The duo sings along to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" for the iconic "Simba growing up" sequence, and we seriously cannot get over how real they look.

We also get a peek at Simba and Nala, voiced by Donald Glover and Beyonce Knowles Carter, but Disney is keeping their voiceovers under wraps for the moment. It's been reported that Beyonce will sing "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" for the remake, and we're pretty much dying.

It's going to be interesting to see how this movie does, as it definitely looks more dark and gritty than the 1994 animated original. The elephant graveyard was scary enough as a kid without it looking real -- now it's downright creepy. And we haven't even seen the scene where Mufasa dies yet. Not sure we'll be able to handle that as Simba begs his dad not to be dead. Right in the feels, Disney. Right in the feels.
