Ahhhh, the 1990s -- such a great decade! It brought us so many amazing things -- like Friends, Harry Potter, Madonna's heyday, boy bands, mix-tapes, body glitter, '90s scary movies, butterfly clips, and the list goes on and on (and on). Truth be told, 90's trends are far from dead. Everyone, from supermodels to influencers, to teenagers of today, are paying homage to the legendary decade. Who knew brown lipstick and high-rise loose jeans would make a comeback? Oh, and fanny packs are everywhere! (Unbelievable!) It just goes to show that the impact of this decade is everlasting, and our culture is still heavily influenced by the trends and pop culture of the '90s.

It goes without saying, that the '90s gave us many unfortunate things, too. Who can forget the Macarena, the questionable denim-on-denim ensembles, and of course, not-so-great movies? Much like the '80s before them, the '90s produced a slew of less-than-stellar films, and also some pretty rad ones, too!

(Heaven knows we all still watch a few flicks from that decade. Hocus Pocus, anyone?)

Rotten Tomatoes is a go-to resources for movie reviews many of us trust to gives each film a score based on its Tomatometer -- taking into consideration the reviews of hundreds of critics. (The higher the score, the better the film.) Recently, a list surfaced of Rotten Tomatoes best- and worst-rated '90s movies that are sure to take us down memory lane. While some may not agree with every mentioned film on this list, there's no arguing with the meter!

Check out this list of the 10 best and 10 worst films of the 1990s, according to Rotten Tomatoes. Who knows, maybe a fave (or two) will get a shout-out!

1/20

Worst: 'Loose Cannons'

With two amazing actors, Dan Akroyd and Gene Hackman, one would think that this film wouldn't be so bad ... but it is! The movie is crude and offensive and even Akroyd himself says it "belongs in a landfill." It scored a zero percent on the Tomatometer, so it's safe to say, this film is OK to skip.

2/20

Worst: 'Baby Geniuses'

This movie was made in hopes of achieving the same success of Look Who's Talking. But instead of coming off as funny and witty, the movie was downright creepy. Whoever thought CGI talking babies were a good idea was seriously mistaken.

Maybe that's why Baby Geniuses only scored 2 percent on the Tomatometer.

3/20

Worst: 'Cool World'

Sorry, Brad Pitt fans, but it doesn't seem like people were feeling Cool World.

This Roger Rabbit knockoff was a bit mature for audiences at times. Cool World blends animation and live action, but in a totally weird way. Even an appearance from one of Hollywood's sexiest men alive can't save this awkward film! Four percent is the rating this film got.

4/20

Worst: 'The Avengers'

With a great cast like Uma Thurman, Ralph Fiennes, and Sean Connery, one would think this movie would be a hit. But sadly, The Avengers was a big dud. It bombed at the box office and earned a 5 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

5/20

Worst: 'Troll 2'

This sequel had almost nothing to do with the original version and left audiences scratching their heads with confusion. What was supposed to be a horror film turned out to be a campy, weird, movie that was more funny than scary. Troll 2 only received 6 percent on the Tomatometer which pretty much says it all.

6/20

Worst: 'Mr. Magoo'

Mr. Magoo showcased some pretty bad choices when it came to acting and filmmaking -- not to mention it was pretty offensive, too. In fact, it was so bad, that it was pulled from theaters two weeks after its release, thanks to public backlash. (Not good!)

Perhaps this is one of many reasons why Mr. Magoo got 7 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

7/20

Worst: 'Captain America'

When a film goes "straight-to -video," it can't be good. Well that's exactly what happened with this film. Long before Chris Evans donned the classic shield, this Captain America was made and canned by critics and audiences. With terrible acting and terrible production value, it's not hard to see why the '90s movie score an 8 percent on the Tomatometer.

8/20

Worst: 'Milk Money'

When it comes to far-fetched plots, Milk Money takes the cake. Three pre-teen boys enlist Melanie Griffith's character, who plays a prostitute, to help them learn about women and their bodies. During the course of their "education," the prostitute falls in love with the father of one of the boys.

... and they all, subsequently, live happily ever after. (Yeah right!) Milk Money was such an awesome film, Rotten Tomatoes gave it 8 percent out of 100.

9/20

Worst: 'Batman & Robin'

We hate to see anything starring George Clooney on a "worst of" list, but this movie is baaaddd! While his performance certainly isn't the worst portrayal of Batman we've seen (sorry Ben Affleck) it certainly is less than Oscar-worthy. This campy version of the classic superhero film has a stellar cast, yet falls completely flat -- scoring a 10 percent on the Tomatometer.

10/20

Worst: 'Chairman of the Board'

Carrot Top stars as a surfer who becomes the head of a big-time company. The acting is terrible, and plot is sub-par. Yet, Chairman of the Board did manage to score a 13 percent on Rotten Tomato's Tomatometer, so we guess some people liked it...

11/20

Best: 'Aladdin'

This movie is a classic and is so beloved, it was turned into a Broadway musical -- with a live-action version, starring Will Smith as the Genie, set to be released in 2019. Chances are households across the world probably know at least one of the songs from Aladdin by heart. And who can forget Robin Williams as the original Genie in one of his best voice-over roles ever?!

Aladdin is so beloved, it scored a 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes's Tomatometer.

12/20

Best: 'The Crying Game'

The Crying Game was truly groundbreaking for its time. The film takes place in Northern Ireland during a period of time known as "The Troubles," taking on taboo themes -- like sex, race, gender, and class -- with one of the most famous twist endings probably ever! (It's a must-see!) And it appears lots of people enjoyed this movie as The Crying Game earned a 95 percent on the Tomatometer.

13/20

Best: 'Four Weddings And A Funeral'

This small-budget film hit it big when it was released in 1994. It stars Hugh Grant, who went on to be the quintessential '90s heartthrob, and Andie MacDowell. Four Weddings and a Funeral follows a group of friends during some of the most important moments of their lives and is truly heartwarming. If anyone is looking for a good laugh, or cry, this is the film! (It scores a solid 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes's Tomatometer.)

14/20

Best: 'Silence Of The Lambs'

"Hello, Clarice."

Is there a movie more famous than this one? The Silence of the Lambs pretty much swept the 1992 Oscars, winning Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay that year. Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster gave some of the best performances of their careers. (The world was never able to look at Chianti -- or fava beans -- the same ever again.) Critics definitely love The Silence of the Lambs as Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 95 percent.

15/20

Best: 'Goodfellas'

Goodfellas is the only mafia movie to ever rival The Godfather! This film is good, plain and simple, and was inspired by a true story which only makes the plot more interesting. Heavy hitters, like Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, and Ray Liotta, make for an incredible ensemble of actors -- not to mention Lorraine Bracco who absolutely nails her role, too! Rotten Tomatoes gave this flick a solid 96 percent.

16/20

Best: 'Groundhog Day'

Bill Murray at his best! Groundhog Day is a classic. Viewers are hard-pressed to not be reminded of this film upon hearing Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe." It's funny, but it also packs some serious lessons. (This is pretty much required viewing every February 2!) The peeps at Rotten Tomatoes seem to like Groundhog Day as it boasts a 96 percent on the Tomatometer.

17/20

Best: 'The Fugitive'

Harrison Ford is certainly one of the best actors of his time and flexes his chops in this thriller. He manages to pull off some incredible stunts (with a little help, we're sure), with scenes will leave viewers on the edge of their seats. Oh, and much credit is due to costar Tommy Lee Jones who comes very close to stealing the show!

The Fugitive scores a 96 percent on the Tomatometer.

18/20

Best: 'Good Will Hunting'

This film put Matt Damon and Ben Affleck on the map -- and earned Robin Williams an Oscar. Good Will Hunting's themes can get intense, but viewers went absolutely nuts for the script -- which gave us classic lines like, "How you like them apples?"

It's definitely a hit as this movie earned a 97 percent on Rotten Tomatoes's Tomatometer.

19/20

Best: 'L.A. Confidential'

L.A. Confidential earned a nearly perfect score on the Tomatometer with a 99 percent. It also earned nine Oscars and is adored by fans and critics alike. Kim Basinger gives the performance of her life in a thriller that is so (so) good!

20/20

Best: 'Toy Story'

Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Slinky, Rex, and Mr. Potato Head! If those names don't warm hearts, nothing will! Toy Story was groundbreaking with its animation and characters viewers couldn't help but love. Even more than 20 years later, children everywhere can recognize and even quote the film. It garnered two sequels, with a third to be released the summer of 2019. Toy Story is timeless and totally deserves its score of 100 percent!
