Jamie Dornan Shares a Juicy Detail About the Sex Scenes in 'Fifty Shades Freed'

We're just days away from the premiere of Fifty Shades Freed, and Jamie Dornan just let us in on a little secret about the third and final installment of the trilogy. Apparently, it's even steamier than the first two!

  • Jamie went on the Ellen DeGeneres show and explained how Freed has a different kind of vibe than its predecessors.

"I think the third one feels like a different kind of genre almost," he explained. "Obviously, there’s still sex in it. There's people who want to see sex it seems, so we've kept a fair amount. Someone was telling me that there’s more sex in the third one than any of the other two. But I don't know. I don't sit there with, like, a timer. I don't actually know the answer to that. But there's definitely like a thriller aspect to this one. There's really fun car chases and someone gets kidnapped, and, yeah, there's lots happening this time."

  • One person who won't be enjoying Christian Grey in all his onscreen carnal glory is Jamie's wife, Amelia Warner.

When Ellen asked if his wife expected him to live up to his sensual role in real life, he told her, "I’d like to think she’s more in love with me than that guy." He also said that she hasn't even seen them, joking, "I don't want to pay for a ticket for her."

That's actually pretty smart -- we can't imagine it being fun to watch your husband roll around in the sheets with another woman, even if it is make-believe.
  • He also shared that playing Christian Grey has brought some interesting interactions to his life.

The Irish actor told Ellen that he sometimes gets recognized in public by fans who want him to stay in character. He revealed, "I get a lot fans talking to me as if I am Christian Grey. I’ll be in line at Starbucks or something, and someone will be like, ‘Oh, Mr. Grey.’ I’m literally holding one of my children; they’re so confused why they’re calling me that."

We have to wonder if anyone has ever said "please sir" while asking for an autograph? Jamie said that he's usually not sure what to say when fans refer to him as Christian, and they probably just think he's weird, but he's OK with that.

  • Meanwhile, we're looking forward to more of this.

As Jamie said, there may be more of it than ever.
