Never before has a Fifty Shades movie been released without its criticism and parodies, but the world just took things a little further by nominating Jamie Dornan for a Worst Actor Razzie Award for his role in Fifty Shades Darker. Additionally, Dakota Johnson is up for Worst Actress and the film itself is up for Worst Picture. Damn.

  • Despite its massive fanbase, the film didn't exactly get glowing reviews once it was released.

In February of last year, Press Association film editor Damon Smith wrote:

"After the polite slap of Fifty Shades of Grey comes the unintentionally hilarious tickle of a softcore sequel, dredged from the frothy melodrama of EL James' literary threesome. Pantomime villainy bumps and grinds against clunky plotting and a miasma of softly lit sex scenes devoid of any erotic charge despite the wanton lip-biting of actress Dakota Johnson."

  • In the category, Jamie has some stiff competition.

The actor is up against Tom Cruise for The Mummy, Mark Wahlberg for Daddy’s Home 2 and Transformers: The Last Knight, Johnny Depp for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and Zac Efron for Baywatch. Who will take home the prestigious award?!

  • Hopefully, Jamie's not too bummed out about the nomination, because we all know that he actually is a good actor.

But it goes without saying that his role as Christian Grey -- for better or worse -- will haunt him forever.
