Fans Are Freaking Out Over Bizarre Sex Scene in New 'Fifty Shades' Book

The Fifty Shades of Grey franchise is never without its controversy, critics, laughers, and, of course, millions of fans. So it's no surprise that the latest book, Darker: Fifty Shades Darker as Told by Christian, is no exception. One scene in the book (involving vegetables and raw chicken) seems to have readers seriously confused, and not surprisingly, fans immediately took to Twitter to air their grievances.   • It all started when BuzzFeed TV editor Scott Bryan tweeted a highlighted passage of the new book.

    "In the new Christian Grey book they literally start having sex halfway through making a stir fry," he wrote about the bizarre scene.

  • "She takes the vegetables and places them beside the gently smoking wok. 'If you do that again, Anastasia, I'm going to take you on the kitchen floor.'"

  • Of course, shortly after Bryan tweeted about the scene, others chimed in.

    Some respected the adherence to food safety.

  • Many felt putting the chicken back in the fridge killed the moment.

  • One woman was seriously concerned about salmonella.

  • People -- naturally -- eventually began writing their own dialogue.

  • Everything came full circle in the end, though, when Bryan tweeted a highlighted passage of the postcoital chat.

    An iPad loaded with Coldplay. Now that's romantic. 

  • At the end of the day, we all have to be honest here though, folks. If it wasn't corny, it wouldn't be "Fifty Shades."
