'Vanity Fair' Captures a Rare Portrait of Dakota Johnson's Family

Dakota JohnsonIn showbiz, more often than not, family follows in one another's footsteps. One flawless example of that is having three generations of talent -- Tippi Hedren, Melanie Griffith, and Dakota Johnson photographed for Vanity Fair.   


To see the trio together is a rare treat, but they came together to talk about their careers in celebration of Hedren's self-titled memoir.

Giffith told the magazine, "The three generations just made me think about Mom, born in 1930, and me, in the '50s, and Dakota, in the '80s ... The progression of life is really beautiful."

And, we absolutely agree the women look stunning in the photograph. Furthermore, it's pretty awesome to see three women from one family find inspiration from the other generations.

While the women are said to be incredibly close, they admitted that they hardly ever discuss their careers when they're together. And by hardly ever we mean "never." Which we suppose works in Johnson's favor with her steamy role as Ana in the Fifty Shades trilogy.

However, they do tease at the possibility of a movie -- so here's to hoping we'll see the talented family on the big screen together in the near future.
