'Fifty Shades' Cast & Crew Are Safe After Horrific Attack in Nice

Fifty Shades cast safe in france

Following the horrific Bastille Day attack in Nice, France, it's good to hear about those who are "safe and sound." The cast and crew of Fifty Shades Darker, including Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, and director James Foley, were filming on location just outside of Nice hours before a truck plowed through a crowd of revelers, killing as many as 84 people.

While the world mourns those lost, it had to be incredibly frightening for all who were on location to know how close they were to this unspeakable act of terror. Producer Dana Brunetti reassured fans via his Facebook page that everyone involved with the film on location was okay.

EL James, author of the sultry trilogy, posted this tweet, expressing her sympathy and concern:

At the moment, it's unknown when filming will resume. All we can say is that Brunetti sums it up best when he writes: "Another sad day for France and the world."
