'Fifty Shades Darker' Production Is Officially Under Way

They're heeeeere! If you live in Vancouver, there's a good chance you're on high alert (in the best possible way): EL James confirmed Fifty Shades Darker production has started, and Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson sighting rumors are already in full swing.


Truth be told, we weren't expecting to hear anything about the sequel's production for at least another week or more, thanks to rumors that the film's shooting schedule had been set back, possibly because Jamie wants to be with wife Amelia Warner before the birth of their second child. Even though neither of the film's biggest stars has confirmed that they are in Canada, author James recently posted a photo on Instagram revealing she is in British Columbia and the fun has begun ...

... And fans of the sexy trilogy are chatting up a storm on Twitter about how they've spotted both Dakota and Jamie around town.

The woman who posted this photo lives in Vancouver, so we'll assume her mom and Jamie were waiting for a flight from the UK to Canada:

As for Dakota, no one has been able to snap a photo of her that we know about, but the word on the street is that she popped her head into Vancouver for a few hours and then vanished to complete other film commitments before completely devoting herself to Anastasia Steele:

So it looks like production for Fifty Shades Darker is ahead of schedule (yay!) and that it's only a matter of time before Jamie, Dakota, and Kim Basinger (the best Mrs. Robinson choice ever) are dining together in Vancouver restaurants. And, of course, this has to mean we'll get more casting info about Leila Williams and Jack Hyde any day now.
