Oh, dreamy Troy! It's hard to imagine that this role almost went to Matthew Underwood of Zoey 101, but thankfully his contract from Nickelodeon wouldn't allow it. Efron had acted before this breakthrough role with parts in Summerland, ER, and NCIS, but his role as Troy jump-started his road to stardom.
