Jamie Dornan Dishes on His Dream Role in New Interview (VIDEO)

He may have scored the career-making opportunity of a lifetime when he was cast as Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, but Jamie Dornan revealed what his dream role would be -- as well as other juicy secrets as part of BAFTA's 60 second challenge.

The 33-year-old Irish actor, who is set to reprise the role of Grey in Fifty Shades Darker after the new year, agreed to answer a few questions for fans -- and what he had to say may surprise you. It's difficult to believe now, but there was a time when The Fall star said he wouldn't have even been considered for certain dream roles -- including one he desperately wanted: Emile Hirsch's character Christopher McCandless in Into The Wild

"I really want to play that part but I had absolutely no chance of getting it," Dornan said.

The film in question focused on a privileged college graduate who gave all of his savings to charity and hitchhiked to Alaska, where he lived in the wilderness. Had the movie been shot this year, there's no doubt Dornan would have at least scored an opportunity to audition for director Sean Penn -- but Into The Wild was released way back in 2007 when Dornan was just beginning to appear in films.

Here's the clip of Dornan answering a couple of interesting questions:

More from The Stir: Jamie Dornan Proves He's the Opposite of Christian Grey in Humble New Interview (VIDEO)

Doesn't he seem so down to earth? He has asthma. He pines for lost roles. He admits that The Fall's character of Paul Spector is a challenge for him and that he sucks at auditioning. It's almost as if he's desperately trying to convince us that he isn't the same talented actor who is carrying a blockbuster trilogy on his back and was voted the sexiest man on the planet.

Nice try, Jamie, but we all know you're really a magical unicorn. Still -- keep these adorable interview clips coming. It's nice to think you could live next door to us.
