Dakota Johnson's 'How to Be Single' Movie Sounds Wild & Wonderful

dakota johnson rebel wilsonDakota Johnson is currently working on How to Be Single -- the movie she stars in with Rebel Wilson. This is in no way a nod to her seemingly complicated love life. In the film, Dakota plays someone who is just coming out of a long-term relationship, and her character is nothing like Ana in Fifty Shades of Grey. At all.

Wilson's character, Robin, is wild, while Dakota's Alice is a bit shy and sensitive, since she's the one just coming out of a serious relationship and is mending a broken heart. Sure, Ana is shy in Fifty Shades, but this is a whole other kind of movie. There are jokes! Funny ha-ha ones! Rebel as Robin is the one who is all about living in the moment (love her) -- she's a strong yet hilarious and madcap female lead. She's the friend that Alice really needs -- someone who can remind her that she isn't defined by another person, and that being single can be amazing. I can think of quite a few people who need this reminder. This flick is a comedy complete with crazy NYC rooftop dancing and Leslie Mann, who (in my opinion) is one of the best of the best in comedy. I think it's another must-see from Dakota Johnson.

Dakota also shared that there was so much dancing in the this film that she often forgot she was filming a movie and not just at a crazy party with her friends. That's a lot different than the spank fests she endured in Fifty Shades of Grey. (Oh wait ... she did have a butt double. But still!) This film is certainly different, and seems like it would be full of laughs (with Mann and Wilson in it, how could it not be?).

It seems like a great night out for when it hits the theaters on February 12. I can't wait to see this side of Dakota -- the funny side, not just her backside. (Sorry, had to!) Also, party with Leslie Mann and Rebel Wilson? Yes, please.
