Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Seem to Be at War in New 'By the Sea' Trailer (VIDEO)

Is Brad and Angie's marriage already on the rocks? Only in the movies, of course. The two collaborated for By the Sea, a drama set in France in the 1970s, and from the looks of the newest trailer, things between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt get pretty intense.

Jolie directed the film, and they both starred in it. We already know that the couple spent their honeymoon in France filming the story about a deeply unhappy married couple (quite a feat as actors, if I do say so myself), but this is the first time we've gotten to see them really get into their characters on-screen.

Holy crap, does that look totally raw and completely uncomfortable and maybe even a little too real? It looks like it might be an amazing movie too -- maybe not your feel-good rom-com, but definitely one that's going to make you think about life and love and what it all means.

As for the vagueness of the preview, Angelina explained that she prefers movie trailers that don't give the whole story away. She'd rather the audience get to know the characters and their stories as the film unfolds, rather than bombarding them upfront.

She explained to EW, "It isn't my intention to hide anything from the audience, but the film is a complicated adult drama where things are often not what they seem."

Catch By the Sea in theaters November 13.
