Here's What 'Back to the Future 2' Got Right About Life in 2015 (VIDEO)

It's October 21, 2015, which means I only have one question -- where is my hoverboard? According to the visionaries behind Back to the Future 2, we were all supposed to have hoverboards at this point. Surprisingly though, the movie actually got quite a lot of futuristic details right.

October 21, 2015, is the futuristic date that Marty McFly and Doc travel to in the future from 1985, and while fax machines are pretty much prehistoric at this point (remember when older Marty got fired over the fax in his own home?), there were a lot of things they got totally mostly right.

So much yes to the 3-D movies everywhere! So far Jaws isn't attacking us in front of the theater yet, but the prediction that sequels and prequels would be all the rage was fairly accurate. How many Spider-Man and Batman movies are there now? Star Trek, Star Wars, The Avengers, X-Men, Fast and Furious ... yeah.

In all fairness, hoverboards are technically a reality right now, but they are still far from the one like Michael J. Fox zoomed around on in the movie. Maybe let's give it another few years.

Meanwhile, I'm more interested in that food hydrator thing, and clothes that tailor themselves to my body. Then again, that sounds like a recipe for getting so fat, we end up like the humans in Wall-E. If we never had to work at cooking delicious pizza, and our pants didn't remind us that we needed to cut back on the ice cream, how obese would we get?

Someone just needs to figure out how to make our bodies burn calories without actually having to exercise. That's what I really want to see in the future.
