Jamie Dornan Proves He's the Opposite of Christian Grey in Humble New Interview (VIDEO)

Golf is supposed to be fun and relaxing, but it was anything but for Jamie Dornan, who revealed that participating in a recent golf tournament in Scotland filled him with anxiety and made him feel like a total amateur.

The Fifty Shades of Grey actor shocked the world when footage was released showing his eagling the par-4 18th hole on the Old Course at St. Andrews as part of the European Tour's Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. If you have no clue what this means, you're not alone — but here's what it looks like: a suave, skilled Dornan expertly sinking a small ball into a small hole from quite a distance. Who expected Christian Grey to be secretly harboring awesome golf skills? Apparently he's quiet about it, but actually plays quite a few times a year.

But, as Dornan tells it, he was freezing cold on the course that day and was so humbled by the experience that it made him feel like he had never played golf before:

Being courteous and unpretentious seem to be two of Dornan's greatest traits (aside from his obvious physical perfection). I especially love how he admits that, despite how many fans cheered him on that day, he was fully aware of his place on the golf course, where he felt like a fan in the presence of golf pros he admires.

How down-to-earth is that?

Dornan's reaction to his great golf game shows fame hasn't given him a big head — perhaps that has a lot to do with the fact that the 33-year-old didn't achieve overnight success at a young age. He was working for years and perfecting his craft in TV series like Once Upon a Time and The Fall before Fifty Shades came along and changed his life.

As a result, Dornan has a good understanding of what's important in life — including his family, which he sweetly says he'll be hanging out with a lot more now ... at least until Fifty Shades Darker shooting madness starts in the new year.
