Watch Katherine Heigl & Alexis Bledel Tie the Knot in Preview for 'Jenny's Wedding'

Get ready to feel all the feels, because the preview for Katherine Heigl's new movie Jenny's Wedding has it all. There's love, tension, family, and political issues to explore, and it looks like it's going to be amazing. Heigl, 36, plays a single woman who delights her family by deciding to get married -- until they discover it's going to be a same-sex wedding.

Gilmore Girls' Alexis Bledel, 33, plays Jenny's love interest, who is shocked when her girlfriend comes home one day and says she wants to get married. Bledel talked about her character, Kitty, in 2014 to lesbian magazine Curve, saying, "She doesn't expect Jenny to come home and say that she wants to get married one day."

She continued, "That's probably the last thing she ever expected her to say. It's something that she was hesitant to want because she didn't know if that was something Jenny would be capable of since she hadn't even told her family she was a lesbian."

Unfortunately, her family doesn't seem to take it so well. Her mom asks incredulously, "You're marrying your roommate?" Heigl responds, "She's not my roommate."

The film also stars Tom Wilkinson, Linda Emond, and Meryl Streep's daughter Grace Gummer, and will be released on July 31, just a month after the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage.

It's also based on a true story, and was written and directed by Mary Agnes Donoghue, who also wrote the script for Beaches. Bledel told Curve, "It was incredible to meet the woman that my character was based on, and the real-life Jenny, to meet them, the couple, and to get to experience that they're much the way Mary Agnes wrote them in the film ... And to see them enjoy this reimagining of their actual wedding and to get to be a part of it. It was a great day on the shoot."

Heigl tweeted last year, "Jenny's Wedding is a movie I'm so proud to be a part of. Love the story and the characters. Hope you will too!"
