Will Ferrell & Mark Wahlberg Duke It Out in 'Daddy's Home' Trailer (VIDEO)

Remember back in 2010 when Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg teamed up for that buddy cop movie, The Other Guys? No? Don't worry, not a lot of other people remember, either. But guess what? That less-than-memorable pairing didn't stopped Ferrell and Wahlberg from joining forces again, this time for the "Dad vs. Stepdad" comedy Daddy's Home -- and the trailer is out just in time for Father's Day!

It's Wahlberg at his buffest and Ferrell at his most awkward in this slapstick-heavy flick, which stars the latter as a devoted (if unappreciated) stepfather and the former as the hot, reckless bio-dad who shows up one day to throw Ferrell's carefully constructed family into a tailspin (Linda Cardellini plays Ferrell's wife/Wahlberg's ex).

How does it look? Well, it all depends on what floats your comedy boat -- if you're into crazy physical hijinks (think Ferrell being thrown from a motorcycle and through a wall) and quick (if somewhat predictable) one-liners, then you'll definitely want to pre-order tix for this one. Check it out:

Definitely a couple of laugh-out-loud moments in there, right? And it's perfect that this is set to hit theaters on Christmas Day, since it's totally the kind of movie you'd want to take the kids to see -- one of those truly rare "all-ages" cinematic events. As for what, if anything, Daddy's Home will do for the beleaguered stepdad stereotype, well, that remains to be seen. Ferrell's character seems like a good guy, if somewhat doofy (I highly doubt this one will end with the mom and her attractive but unstable ex getting back together). Hopefully however this movie resolves, it'll be a win-win for families in general.
