7 Reasons 'Fifty Shades Darker' Needs Henry Cavill as Jack Hyde

The man who plays Jack Hyde in Fifty Shades Darker needs to be similar to our Christian Grey, Jamie Dornan. Handsome. Strong. Mysterious. Dangerous. Slightly unsettling. These traits lend to the reason why Henry Cavill would make a perfect Jack Hyde. There is quite a history that will be revealed between Christian and Jack, and of course there is the new situation with Ana. Here are seven reasons Henry Cavill is perfect for the role.

1. Cavill is one of those actors considered for many roles, but doesn't seem to get them. He lost out on being Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins, Cedric in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, James Bond in Casino Royale, and Edward Cullen in Twilight. (Oh my gosh, could you imagine Twilight without Robert Pattinson?!) I don't want to break his heart again and have him lose out on this role.

2. He typically doens't play the bad guy. Which is why it's so perfect. Besides, even though he is a stalker, there is a little part that feels sad for Jack -- he's always been second fiddle. So he does need a touch of likeability.

3. His nickname is rumored to be "Most Dashing Duke." If you are going to be cast opposite Jamie Dornan, you have to have dashing looks. Plus, Fifty Shades Darker is a film with copious amounts of eye candy. More please.

4. Glamour UK magazine ranked him the #1 "Sexiest Man" in 2013. This year, Jamie Dornan was given that honor and Cavill was ranked 5th. See? So much competition between these two in real life, it makes sense it's that way on the big screen, too.

5. He is our Man of Steel. He plays Superman in the movies. Obviously there is nothing "super" about a guy who is your boss sexually harrassing you (as Ana experiences), but this man of steel quality gives him that unstoppable cojones to attempt to go that far with Christian's submissive.

6. He's British. Jamie's Irish. How fitting for them to play enemies.

7. He was on many people's lists to be cast as Christian Grey. Supposedly even E.L. James wanted Cavill as Grey. If you can't have him as Christian, then he needs to be Jack Hyde.

Do you think Henry Cavill should be cast as Jack Hyde? If not, who do you want to see in the role?
