Jamie Dornan Snubbed at BAFTA Awards & Fans Aren’t Having It

Before he was Christian Grey, Jamie Dornan took on another suspicious, though much scarier, character. The Irish actor has starred in the last two seasons of BBC's The Fall, and while it has been a hit and renewed for a third season, Dornan has yet to receive a BAFTA nomination. And the fans are not happy.

In the days leading up to the Academy's nominations list release, fans were entirely convinced Dornan would get a nod for his role as the creepy serial killer Paul Spector.

However, when the nominees were announced, there was one very clear name absent from the list.

Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), Toby Jones (Marvellous), James Nesbit (The Missing) and Jason Watkins (The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies) all received nominations.

Um... HELLO?! Me thinks there's one major name missing.

Fans were not having it and took to Twitter to respond immediately:

But Dornan was not alone. His co-star Gillian Anderson also wasn't nominated and neither was the show overall. A snub on all fronts!

And while its clearly a bummer that Dornan won't have the chance to actually compete for the award, that also means one very real thing: That's one less red carpet for the actor and his wife!

Sadness all around. There's always next year!

Are you surprised Dornan wasn't nominated?
