Great news, Fifty Shades of Grey fans! Though rumors have been circulating that the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, might not be released until 2017, it's possible that we'll see the return of Ana and Christian much, much earlier because author EL James just dropped  a major hint about the film.

Not many details, and not a ton of description, but James' photo pretty much says it all. Take a look at her cryptic message to fans:

All we have is one smiley face. But the location is the most important. Universal Studios produced the first hit film, so we're free to assume that James is back at the offices to chat about the second installment.

There haven't been many details released about Darker, but there's been talk that it'll start filming in 2016, and we'll have another Valentine's Day release date the year after.

But fans want to see it much sooner than that. As soon as James posted the photo to Instagram, the comments were all demands for a Darker release. And ASAP. Users are saying "Fifty shades darker 2016 please" and "Don't want to wait until 2017," so if James gets the not-so-subtle hints, let's hope the studio hears the demands too.

We've had the books for years, but the wait for the second movie already seems like an eternity. Time to hustle, production, and get the fans what they want.

When do you think they'll release Darker?
