Scott Eastwood Said No to '50 Shades' & He's Not Sorry

Hunky Scott Eastwood is quickly becoming the hot new thing in Hollywood, but it turns out he turned down a role that would have made him a household name overnight. Apparently Scott said no to the role of Christian Grey, and he's not sorry about it.

Jamie Dornan ultimately won the role of the BDSM-obsessed billionaire title character in Fifty Shades of Grey, but there were a number of other contenders up for the part. Scott Eastwood, 28, recently revealed that he was one of them, but has no regrets about turning it down.

The Longest Ride actor revealed in a new interview with USA Today, "They had asked me to come in and read and test for it. But they had no script ... I won't do a movie where there is no script. I am not going to get locked in. And they wanted full frontal nudity. There were some things about it that were not for me."

Dornan didn't end up with any full-frontal scenes, and the film scored an R-rating instead of the talked-about NC-17, but it's no secret to anyone following the project that full-frontal was initially on the table. The movie is, after all, based on the erotic novels by E.L. James.

Eastwood went on to say about Sam Taylor-Johnson's screen adaptation, "It's not a bad thing. The movie made a ton of money. It's been a success ... It just wasn't for me. It was not something I wanted to do. I just didn't enter the running. It was like, 'Okay, thank you.'"

When asked if he saw the movie starring Dornan and Dakota Johnson (he did after all read the book!), he replied, "I'll have to wait for it to get onto my home channels."

We're sure he can't wait. (Giggle)

Do you think Scott Eastwood really doesn't regret not reading for the role of Christian Grey?
