Jamie Dornan Is Leaving Christian Grey Behind in New Movie Role

jamie dornanAfter wondering if he'd return to his role as Christian Grey (spoiler alert: he's committed to the whole series), Jamie Dornan is showing us all that he's not just going to be known as the titular character in Fifty Shades of Grey. The Irish actor is boosting his acting resume and has just been cast in a new World War II drama. So everyone, there is more Jamie Dornan coming soon to a theater near you.

He's played a terrifying serial killer in The Fall and a sexy, BDSM-loving billionaire in Fifty, but he will now take on the role of a Czechoslovakian soldier in Sean Ellis' Anthropoid. Also starring fellow Irish actor Cillian Murphy, the movie will tell the story of the real-life assassination attempt on Reinhard Heydrich, a high-ranking Nazi official, during the Holocaust, and will once again flex Dornan's impressive acting chops.

The movie is set to start filming in July, so that leaves the actor, and father-of-one, plenty of time to readjust from playing the mercurial Mr. Grey. And after those rather racy scenes, we could all use a little cooling down period.

Even though not all reviews of Dornan's Fifty performance were stellar (some even went so far as to call him "lackluster"), his acting doesn't seem to have taken a hit. He's already started filming The 9th Life of Louis Drax with Breaking Bad start Aaron Paul, and doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

So now that we have news on his next projects, when can we get some details on the Fifty Shades Darker production schedule, eh? Hint, hint, movie land.

Are you looking forward to Dornan's next movies?
