'50 Shades' Cuts Rita Ora's Role as Mia Grey BIG Time

rita ora 50 shadesNow that the movie is (almost) officially here (finally!!), does anyone else remember the hype surrounding the casting of Rita Ora in Fifty Shades of Grey? Playing Christian Grey's (obviously) gorgeous little sister Mia -- seriously, is there anyone remotely average- or blah-looking in this entire series? -- fans were a tad worried when promotional material featuring Ora came out. They simply thought she just didn't look the part!

Well, seriously, now it seems there's no reason to worry about that. Why?

Because according to reports, Rita Ora in the entire 125-minute film speaks four lines.

Spoilers ahead if that warning is appropriate here.

Anyway, yes, no matter how big of a role Mia had to play in the original book, Ora had a much easier go of it. This is a tad surprising, considering how much she did in order to prepare for the part. "I prepped for the role by learning some French first of all, by learning an American accent and by really just not being me," Ora told MTV. "I had a brown wig on and I was being the smart girl that came from French school to see her family, so it was just a lot of dedication, it was like going back to school."

Even after hiring an acting coach, it seems that Ora is seen in the movie for all of two minutes, according to The Huffington Post. And one of the four sentences she speaks is in French.

You know you want to know what she utters in the film. Here are her lines:

1. "She's here?"
2. "Oh my God, you exist."
3. "Uck, Seattle baseball."
4. [Sentence in French]

Well ... let's just hope that Ora didn't spend too much on said acting coach.

Come on! She says less than 20 words in the film if these reports are true! Though fans were disappointed by Ora's physical representation of Christian's adopted sister (they can't really say too much about her, um, minuscule performance until they actually see the film), it remains to be seen if they will be happy by how much her character was cut from the film. As long as the movie focuses solely on Christian and Ana and their, um, extracurriculars, can't imagine too many would be upset.

But still, four lines? Pretty shocking, to say the least.

Did you think Rita Ora would have a bigger part in Fifty Shades of Grey?
