'50 Shades of Grey' Set Secrets: What Really Happened in the Red Room

Whether you're intrigued or terrified by Fifty Shades of Grey's infamous Red Room, you won't be able to escape it when it makes its big-screen debut on February 13. And while you can comfortably act as a voyeur in your theater seat, Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan had to live it during filming.

Johnson, who covers Glamour's March 2015 issue with Dornan, says:

The scenes in that room were definitely the most vulnerable scenes in the movie. But it was a very closed set -- my mom [Melanie Griffith] told me that it's my right to ask for that during intimate scenes, so it seemed like [Jamie and Sam and I] were in this little world together.

And it wasn't any easier for Dornan, even though he wasn't on the receiving end of the BDSM scenes. He tells the mag:

Some of the Red Room stuff was uncomfortable. There were times when Dakota was not wearing much, and I had to do stuff to her that I'd never choose to do to a woman.

Johnson notes that as soon as the director would yell cut, Dornan would immediately throw a blanket over her so she didn't remain exposed, especially considering she was typically still tied to a bed.

Ah, Hollywood sex scenes -- don't they just sound so wonderful?

Which scene from Fifty Shades of Grey are you most looking forward to seeing on the big screen?
