Fifty Shades of Grey hasn't even hit theaters yet (we have to wait until February 13 for that), but the movie has already broken a major record.

The highly anticipated flick is the fastest-selling R-rated movie in Fandango's history, reports Variety, beating out the last two Hangover films and that other book-to-big-screen title Gone Girl.

The news offers bragging rights for Fifty Shades fans who are a die-hard bunch, but what does that mean for Christian and Anastasia champions who haven't purchased tickets in advance?

Well, it more than likely means you can't expect to walk up to the ticket window at midnight on February 13 and get a seat because these shows are already sold out. In fact, you may not be able to get in at all opening weekend.

The good news is that because of the strong response to advanced ticket sales, many theaters are making moves to add even more show times to satisfy everyone's Fifty Shades appetite.

Personally, while I'm now kicking myself for not buying my tickets earlier, I'm excited about the news because it has to be encouraging for Universal Pictures to move forward on bringing the other Fifty Shades books to life.

Which scene from the book are you most excited to see on screen?
