'50 Shades of Grey' Star Admits Getting Into Character Was No Easy Feat

Rita OraIn order to take on the roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan must have had to throw out their inhibitions and let go of any sort of modesty they might have had for the sake of the parts. But believe it or not, they aren't the only ones who had to make extra preparations to get into character.

Rita Ora admits having to learn French to play the part of Christian's sister Mia in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, and it sounds like it was quite the learning process.

She told MTV News:

I prepped for the role by learning some French first of all, by learning an American accent and by really just not being me. I had a brown wig on and I was being the smart girl that came from French school to see her family, so it was just a lot of dedication, it was like going back to school.

Man. It can't be easy to take up a second language for the sake of a film, let alone try and master a believable accent.

It also sounds like Rita may have developed a bit of a girl crush on Dakota during filming. She admits, "Working with Dakota was extremely fun. She's just so gorgeous so it kind of distracts you a little bit, but I mean she's really great. She's an amazing actress, so I'm learning things from her."

(Aww. Way to give props to another fellow actress.)

Even though it will all come down to how well the movie fares at the box office, it's clear that being a part of Fifty Shades of Grey has already taken Rita's career to new heights. And even if the film flops, at least she can add "speaks a little French" to her resume for future gigs. Everything you learn on the job has to count for something, right?

Do you think Rita will do a good job as Mia?
