It looks like it's the end of an era. After countless seasons, Snooki is leaving Jersey Shore. And honestly, we don't blame her one bit -- especially with all of the drama, unsafe situations at times, and her mention of receiving death threats that's definitely not what one signs up for with a reality show -- no matter how juicy it can get.

Snooki revealed the news during a recent episode of her podcast, 'It's Happening With Snooki and Joey.'

Jersey Shore first premiered in 2009, running for a number of seasons before ending in 2012. Although there have been spin-offs since then, the cast returned in 2017 with Jersey Shore: Family Vacation that's definitely had it's OMG moments.

(We'll stay away from the craziness that is Ronnie and Jen's relationship.)

"There's reasons why I came to this decision... It's definitely a hard decision," she confessed.

"I love you so much and don't hate me for my decision, but I have to do what's best for me at the moment. And I am retiring from Jersey Shore. I am not coming back to Jersey Shore for season four if there is one," Snooki continued.

Ultimately, Snooki is putting her family first, as filming the show has become too much.

"I just can’t do it anymore. Like, literally, leaving my kids to film it is really, really hard on me... I try and quit every single day. The poor producers are like, 'Dude, are you going to quit this time?'" the celeb mom continues about sons Lorenzo, 7, and Angelo, 6 months, and daughter Giovanna, 5.

"I quit every single time we film because I just hate being away from the kids. I don’t like partying, like, three days in a row. It’s just not my life anymore. And I want to be home with the kids. I don't mind a here or there going to a dinner or whatever, but it’s just really hard for me to leave the kids and film the show. That's one reason."

She's also over the drama and division among the group that continues to spread.

"When it comes to our show, it’s not about team this, team that and then fans are against one another when it comes to a cast member. That's just not how the show works and that's how it's becoming," Snooki added.

"So for me, I don’t want that. And I’m not leaving my kids days on end to film this show when that’s the result of it. I just don’t like the turnout of it and I don’t like the person I’m portrayed as. This is getting a little too much."

Can't say we disagree.

And if that's not enough, Snooki says she and her family receive death threats because of 'Jersey Shore.'

"I just need to do what’s best for me right now and right now I'm just not comfortable filming that show anymore with the direction it's going, with all the drama and getting death threats and getting death threats to my children... over this freaking reality show that's not even that serious," she noted.

"And people take it too seriously to where I'm getting with the kids. And my store, people want to picket it. They want to boycott it and [are] leaving reviews that I have bugs in my store. It's just a lot and it's not something I signed up for with this show."

Honestly, we don't blame her.

At the end of the day, Snooki needs to do what's best for her family -- especially if death threats are involved. We can't imagine the stress of shooting a reality show, let alone being away from our babies for so long.

The time to move on is likely now.
