New '50 Shades of Grey' Favorites for Christian & Ana Are the Creepiest We've Seen Yet

Ed WestwickAs the days pass and we inch closer and closer to a casting announcement being made for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, it really seems like every possible coupling has been thrown out there as to who will play Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.

From Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, to Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum -- there are plenty of hot duos who could accurately portray the parts.

But a new fan poll shows two new favorites have emerged, and their pairing really seems very strange, and actually very creepy too.

According to Marie Claire, Ed Westwick and Emma Roberts are now on the list of contenders to play Christian and Ana.

Am I the only one who's just a little bit skeeved out, here?

I don't know what it is about Ed Westwick, but he's always creeped me out. And I've never really understood why women think he's so attractive. To me, he's just, kind of meh. I'm sure plenty of Gossip Girl fans will disagree with me, but I cannot picture him as Christian Grey. I just can't. And I also really don't want to. (He's totally disheveled in this photo, for Pete's sake. And his chest hair is so gross!)

Moving on to Emma Roberts. Yes, she's cute, innocent, and brunette. But she's also Julia Roberts' niece, which again, creeps me out. Even though she's 22, I still see her as a kid, and Ana simply can't be played by someone who is still perceived as a child actress. (That's just wrong.)

Neither one of them seem right for the roles on their own, but putting Ed and Emma together is a recipe for disaster. Can you even picture these two having any sort of decent chemistry? Ok, forget decent chemistry. Can you picture them having Fifty Shades of Grey-style chemistry?

(Ugh. Shuddering.)

I'm definitely crossing Emma and Ed off my list of Ana and Christian hopefuls. I just can't get behind this creepy combination.

Do you agree, or do you think Ed and Emma are perfect for the roles?
