Ian Somerhalder & Matt Bomer Meet at People's Choice Awards & Make '50 Shades' Fans Squeal (VIDEO)

matt bomer ian somerhalderWell, well, well! Last night's 2013 People's Choice Awards was certainly an eye candy feast for Fifty Shades of Grey fans! At least those who have been rooting for two certain TV stars to play Christian Grey. Both Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer showed up to the festivities, as Ian was nominated for Favorite TV Drama Actor, while Matt‘s hit television series White Collar was up for Favorite Cable TV Drama.

'Course the would-be Christians both looked uber-handsome and composed -- and even faced-off at one point. Do we sense some competition, guys?! Naaaah! It actually seems like the actors are friendly. Hey, else would they have posed side-by-side in this bromance-y pic?

This is definitely proof there are no hard feelings between these two. Then again, it may also be proof there's no real competition between 'em either ... as in, perhaps neither actor is actually in the running for the role?! (Hey, sorry to burst your bubble, but it's a possibility ...)

More from The Stir: Matt Bomer May Be the 'Best' Christian Grey but Ian Somerhalder’s Move Changes the Game

Either way, they both clearly get a kick out of the fact that they've both been "cast" by fans as Christian, and Team Ian vs. Team Matt are duking it out amongst themselves. And the People's Choice Awards writers must have a sense of humor about the whole thing, too! Otherwise, they wouldn't have scripted the somewhat strange, sexy interaction between Ian and Casey Wilson when they took the mic to present the award for Favorite Comedic Actor together ... Totally a nod to Fifty -- and something you just have to see for yourself:

Hoooottttt! Hey, at least they all have a sense of humor about it! And it makes me like both Ian and Matt even more know neither would wanna take the other out for landing the coveted role.

Did you enjoy the "Christian contenders" appearance at the People's Choice Awards? Do you think they're both still in the running for the role?
