Dear Disney: I Vote for “Father of the Bride” on Stage

Father of the Bride movie; $12.49
rarely disappoints when it comes to the stage, and rumblings are that they may be developing more great theater performances of some awesome films in the near future.

Apparently Disney Theatrical has registered domain names for the following titles that are being considered:

Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Calendar Girls, Citizen Ruth, Coyote Ugly, Father of the Bride, The Flamingo Kid, Freaky Friday, Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Jungle Book, The Newsies, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Pirates of the Caribbean, Pollyanna, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Shakespeare in Love, Sister Act, Step Up, Toy Story, and Yellow Submarine.

My head swims with the wonderful possibilities -- Romy and Michele! Coyote Ugly! Bring the chick flicks to Broadway, I say! And I can't even imagine how excited my son would be to see his heroes from Toy Story in a musical.

Of all of those listed though, my first pick to see on stage would be Father of the Bride. The potential with all that angst and hilarity and Franck! I can see Annie and George playing basketball up on stage now ... is it too early to buy advanced tickets?

Which of these shows would you like to see on stage?
