Do you have a tongue stud? Then you're probably going to want to weigh-in on this tongue piercing debate raging on in Advice for Moms. At issue: Do you think a tongue piercing is unclassy for a Mommy?
Here are some of my favorite answers from CafeMoms:
MadisonFraser: ...while I don't think it's the classiest piercing in the world, I think it's about the way the person wears it. If you're constantly telling people about it, and showing it off, or playing with it, that's gross. If it is just something you like, and it's just another part of you, then I don't see a problem with it.
- SheHoldsTheKey: I don't think there is anything unclassy about a mom having piercings (or tattoos for that matter!). It's all about how you carry yourself and how you portray yourself to the world. I have my tongue pierced, and have had my tongue pierced since I was 17. I didn't get it pierced for any reason related to oral sex. Contrary to the myth that some people like to perpetuate, the "only reason" to have a tongue piercing is not for sexual reasons!
- Wilesmomma: I have had my tongue pierced twice. I have come to terms with the fact that I like the idea of having it done more than actually having the piercing. I'm a tattooed mommy, though, I'm pretty sure people would disagree that my tattoos are classy. But as long as you are happy with yourself, then screw everyone else!
What do you think? Is a tongue piercing unclassy? Or is it the person with the piercing who makes it unclassy or not?
