But what about his new book, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man?
It offers Rules-like, old-fashioned advice to all ladies regarding love. My favorite rule is: Wait 90 full days--that's 3 months--before having sex with a new guy.
Is it just me being a floozy, or is 90 days a really long time? I think it's a great idea. It's just that 3 months can seem like forever when you're having fun with a new man.
Steve Harvey's book is onto something--even though I'm happily married, I still learn from the advice. I'm not the only one: Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man has been on the bestseller list for more than 7 weeks and has sold over a million copies.
This three-times married father of 7 has said he wanted to get honest with this book. He wanted to empower women to really know how a man thinks.
According to Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man every man needs 3 things:
I find his tips to be spot-on. For example, when I was still single and dating, I was crazy about a certain guy who wouldn't commit. He always introduced me to his friends as Kristen. Just Kristen. Steve Harvey says a man who's serious about the relationship will never do that.
Men mark their territory, and if he wants to be with you, he'll introduce you as his girl, his wife, his baby momma, but definitely something more than just Kristen. When I met my now-husband, he did just that within the first month of dating. We ran into his friends at a restaurant, and he said, "This is my girlfriend Kristen." He turned out to be a keeper.
Have you heard about his old-fashioned but completely honest and practical love advice? What do you think of Steve Harvey and his bestselling book?
