Thinking about, looking at and decoding vaginal discharge is so fun.
Kind of like running into the last guy who saw you naked--when you're with your new man, 8 months pregnant, and you have ketchup on your lip.
As we know, female anatomy is complicated.
But there are some things a woman just needs to know. Like what different vaginal discharges mean.
Here is an interesting vaginal discharge chart that was recently on the show, The Doctors. Refer to it whenever you have burning or itching questions. I know you know what I mean.

CafeMoms definitely feel we can share very personal stuff. So if you have a question about such things, post it in the private group Medical Questions like this one about vaginal discharge. Hey, it's okay. We've all been there.
Do you get embarrassed talking about some aspects of female anatomy? I do, but being pregnant a few times definitely helps me bare it all more often.

Great article...
That's a little over-simplified.
If you have greyish or greenish "foamy" discharge, than can be the STD "Trich" (which you could even get from a public toilet).
Don't forget that texture can be important as well.
the joys of the female anatomy. lmao at "decoding vaginal discharge is so fun. " my friends will get a kick outta that sentance. i never get embarrassed by asking questions cause its stuff I wanna know about! They don't teach you stuff like that in school (that would be gross anyways) so you HAVE to ask an OBGYN or someone with some medical knowledge
thanks
Learn all about your cervical fluid. There are several healthy kinds. It ranges from sticky or gummy to lotiony to eggwhite. It can be crumbly, rubbery, milky, streaked, strechy, and slippery. Check out the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. Every woman should own a copy.
A couple of days ago i was itchy and painful. and i had som abnormally thick discharge(for me). So i got an over the counter pill to insert and cream to use around it. Today i woke up shocked to find cottage cheese/motzerella(lol) textured discharge. it was hard and lumpy. went to work today and when i came home it was gone. ??? What do you think?
