20 Surprising Places to Find the Man of Your Dreams

Hot List 4

couple at museumDespite what has become a common belief, most women don't really find boyfriends in bars. In fact, according to a study by Match.com, only 7 percent of all bar hoppers will come across a relationship-worthy guy while grabbing a cocktail. So what in the world are the rest of us to do? You can look online or be set up by friends, but many people have found love in some unexpected places. I have a friend who met her husband at a gas station on her way to work one morning. As she stood at the pump, a guy came up to her and said she was the most beautiful woman in the world and that he was going to marry her some day. He was right! Two years later, he did. I will admit, it was a bit unusual, but love at first sight can happen when you least expect it. Check out 20 surprising places you can find the man of your dreams.

  1. Home Depot - Perfect place to find a cute Mr. Fix-It.
  2. Comic-Con - If you are a Trekkie, no one will understand you as well as these guys could.

I met my husband on vacation. I was in Las Vegas for my 21st birthday and he was there with friends. We met in the lobby of a hotel..turns out we only lived an hour apart from one another. We went on our first "real" date 2 weeks after we returned. We got married 2 and a half years later.

I met my S/O in my daughters pre-school class. He was one of the single dads, and we'd see each other a couple times a week. He thoughtI was a lesbian because I told the teacher my girlfriend will pick up my daughter. So he kinda felt me out for a few weeks before asking me to coffee, which I turned down to a later time. When I was ready to go to coffee with him, we hit it off and haven't separated since! <3

We both ran collectible card gaming tournaments. We would alternate weekends running tournaments and play in each other's games. Lots of downtime and too many kids and teenagers. We go to know each other quite well.
