We often do things to spice up our love lives. Some use sex toys, others like lingerie, and Kayla* and Joseph* decided they just needed more date nights. So one night they hired a babysitter for their three kids and had an entire day and night planned full of fun activities just for them to reconnect. Neither of them would have predicted what ended up happening that night though. They both ended up kissing the same woman. Kayla will explain ....

We never go out -- just Joseph and me. We just don't have time or the extra money to hire a babysitter. But then we realized we haven't been on a date in forever, and so we saved some cash, planned a whole big day of stuff to do, and once the sitter arrived, off we went on our great adventure.

We started off four-wheeling, which is something we all love to do as a family, but when you're a parent, you're not really having your own fun -- well, I'm always worrying about my kids. So this time it was just Joey and me. We had so much fun we had to sneak back in the house to clean up and change before we went out to dinner. And dinner was so great. We started off eating way too fast as we always do with the kids, shoving food in our mouths while trying to make sure everyone else is eating and not feeding the dog. We slowed down, we talked, we laughed, we had a couple of drinks and even dessert. We savored every bite. Then we went to see a band play downtown at a club we used to go to before kids but hadn't been to in a very long time.

Joseph and I used to make out in the back of the club way back in the day. They have these booths and it's away from the main stage so you can sit there and actually talk without disrupting the band and still able to hear each other. We got real cozy back there and started kissing just like we used to. I got totally lost in the moment. It was the perfect date and just what we needed to reconnect. We were drinking, and I had three drinks at this point, which is a lot for me. And that's when these two girls came over to sit with us. They were flirty and gave me compliments and so did Joseph. I was on this high, feeling all special and happy and that's when it happened. One of the girls kissed me. She just leaned over and her lips were on mine. I looked over at Joseph and he smiled and started rubbing my leg. I kissed her back.

The other girl ended up leaving the booth and it was just me, Joseph, and Tara*. Then she started kissing my husband. In the moment it felt completely natural and great. We all kissed for a little while, there was some minor touching but all over clothes. There was giggling. And then the band we were all there to see started playing. That was the last we saw of Tara.

Joseph and I essentially cheated on each other with the same woman, at the same time. It felt great in the moment, but now it just feels weird. It's not something I ever want to do again and neither does he, but we did it. We don't really regret it but we also feel it's not something we would have ever done if we weren't tipsy. We also realized that we need to have date nights more often. Not to act all crazy and wild, but because if we don't have them enough when we do, we act all crazy and wild. We just need to get out more and have "normal" dates.
